Prestige PIC 20 Induction Cooktop – My Honest Review
I switched to induction cooking mainly to cut down my gas usage, and the Prestige PIC 20 has turned out to be a decent everyday companion. It’s simple, no-nonsense, and gets the job done without any unnecessary frills.
The push-button controls take a little getting used to at first, but once you’re familiar with the layout, operating it becomes second nature. It comes with preset cooking modes for things like idli, dosa, soup, and milk, which is handy if you’re not big on manually adjusting temperature and power levels every time.
Heating is fairly quick, and I like that it has safety features like auto shut-off and overheat protection — gives peace of mind, especially with kids around in the kitchen. The body feels sturdy, and the crystal glass top is easy to wipe clean after cooking.
One thing to note: it only works with induction-friendly cookware, so if your utensils are old aluminum or copper-bottomed, you’ll need to switch those out first. Also, the power cord is on the shorter side, so placement near a socket matters.
